I cannot believe that 2016 is almost over. Seriously, where the heck did this year even go? I hope you all had an amazing holiday and an even better year. 2016 has been rough for the world, but I am thankful that it has been nothing but good for me and my family.
Just to do a little recap, there were 4 resolutions I wanted to work on this year: lose weight, work on my blog/youtube channel, travel, and work on my social anxiety.
Lose weight: I’ve actually lost weight this year! Even though I’ve slipped off here and there, I was able to lose and keep off 20 pounds! I’m super stoked about this because this has been the first year in forever I haven’t gained weight, and I can feel how much better I look and feel.
Work on my blog/youtube channel: I’ve had my blog for quite a few years and I’ve had my youtube channel for one. This is something I do as a hobby and I love everything about it. Towards the end of this year I’ve finally started to take things more seriously. I’ve given my little corner of the internet a brand new look, I’ve been getting better at adding content, and I’ve invested in a few gadgets to help things look more polished. Just by doing these few things I’ve noticed a big difference on my blog/youtube traffic and I’m so happy with the work I’ve created so far.
Travel: My travel goals were to travel to another state as well as another country. Beginning of this year I went to New York City to celebrate the new year with my amazing cousin. Towards the end of the year I traveled to Bangladesh for a couple of weeks, and it was AMAZING. Very blessed and thankful for being able to travel and hit my travel goals.
Work on Social Anxiety: Now this is a little bit more tricky. I’m not saying that I am fixed and that my social anxiety is gone. I am saying that I’ve truly worked on myself this year and in return it has helped me mentally. I am actually able to go out and have a good time and I’ve made a couple of friends this year. This is huge for someone like me who struggles everyday with this, and I am super proud of myself.
I hope you all had an amazing year and checked off many things off your 2016 resolutions list. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by and supported my blogging journey. Here’s to another year *clink.
