Hello loves! One of my friends gave me one of these to try out. I’ve never heard about these sponges before, so I was really curious to use this product.
Konjac Facial Sponge : First Impressions
Konjac facial sponges are very popular in Asian countries such as Japan. The sponge is not your typical sponge, it is actually made from the root of a konjac, and is also biodegradable.
The thing I really liked about this sponge is how clean and soft my face felt after using this. Exfoliating is very important for your skin. I have a Clarisonic and I only use it once a week. Any more than that then it will tear up my skin. This is great because it is more effective then using your hands and way more gentle then a brush or a system like a Clarisonic for daily use.
To use this product, you need to have it under warm water for about 5 minutes. It should expand and become soft to use.
Remove any excess water and rub onto your face gently in circular motions with or without a cleanser. I first use a makeup wipe to remove most of my makeup before I use my sponge and cleanser.
Now I do want to say I’ve only been using this product for about a week so I cannot give you an in depth review on how it worked for my skin yet, however as a first impressions review I’m pretty pleased by how it works. It hasn’t dried out my skin, my face feels squeaky clean after using this at night, and it’s fairly easy to use. I do recommend this product if you are needing something to gently exfoliate your skin. You can find it at Sephora, Ulta, or Amazon just to name a few places.
