How to Shop for Plus Size Clothes
Shopping for plus size clothes shouldn’t be two things: difficult and expensive. In this post, I’m showing you guys where I like to shop and a few tips and tricks when shopping for plus size clothes. Scroll down to the bottom for a quick video!
Tip No. 1: Get Inspired
Find inspiration on apps like Pinterest, We Heart It, and Instagram. This is especially helpful because you’ll feel less overwhelmed with all of the clothes at the store because you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for.
Tip No. 2: Buy Inexpensive Basics
Your inexpensive basics are your solid t-shirts, striped t-shirts, and leggings. These are all items you can add to your wardrobe, no matter the season. Because they are worn more frequently, try to save your money by shopping at Target, Ross, or Old Navy for your basics.
Tip No. 3: Shopping at the Mall
Clothing at the mall can get pretty pricey, but there are a few places you can really find cute inexpensive clothing items. My go to is Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. Go to the plus size section and look for any special deals and sales going on.
Tip No. 4: Shoes and Accessories
If you’re looking for cute shoes for less, ROSS and Shoeland are great. Same goes for accessories, I tend to not spend as much on it. If you’re looking for inexpensive jewelry and accessories, Charlotte Russe has awesome jewelry, usually a 2 for $10 deal.
Tip No. 5: Layering Jackets and Bottoms
If you’re looking to find jackets, vests, and cardigans to add layers to your outfit, ROSS is great. 90% of all of my jackets are from (surprise, surprise) ROSS and Marshalls. Same goes for my bottoms and my athletic gear, I usually find most of them at ROSS.
