Skin Care Products Worth the Splurge from Sephora
Sephora is going to have its Holiday Bonus Event from November 1st through November 11th (dates available for you depends on your beauty insider level). What does that mean? You can take 10-20% off of your purchase (also depending on your beauty insider level). This is HUGE considering Sephora doesn’t have too many sales. Ok, ok, sure the price tags on their skin care products are pretty hefty, but if there’s one thing I think you should really invest in, it’s your skin. In this post, I’m giving you guys my favorite products that are worth the splurge. Remember to use the code HOLIDAYSAVE during checkout!
Guys. GUYS. THIS PRODUCT IS EVERYTHING. I’ve been using this product once a week for 2 months and I’m hooked. So what does this magical potion do? It’s a high dose of a lactic acid complex that you leave on your face for about 2-3 minutes. You’ll see an improvement in the look of your pores, clarity, and radiance. Basically, your skin will look brand new after using this. If you need a product that will help even out your skin tone, reduce the appearance of blemishes, and tighten your pores, this will do just that.
Trust me when I say this, I’ve tried my fair share of vitamin c products from Sephora. Everything from moisturizers to serums, I’ve tried it all. However, I keep coming back to one product that worked the best in my opinion: Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C line. It’s important to add vitamin c to your skin care regimen because of its antioxidant properties. Vitamin c aids in your skin’s natural regeneration process by repairing damaged skin cells. By repairing damaged skin, products with vitamin c will help brighten your skin and help fade brown spots. If you have to pick just one product from this line, I highly recommend the serum because of how potent it is and how well your skin will absorb it.
If you don’t use an SPF moisturizer, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? The sun is not your skin’s best friend, and you need to protect it before it causes any more damage. The tricky thing about products with SPF is that it can leave an ugly white cast. However, the Lancome UV Expert Aquagel Defense Primer & Moisturizer SPF 50 feels like a lightweight moisturizer that will not leave any trace of that white pigment. Also, it’s perfect to use underneath your makeup and has beneficial properties that are great for your skin, such as vitamin e.
The honest truth: this moisturizer is one of the best moisturizers I’ve used. If you’re thinking about splurging a little on a moisturizer, the Tatcha line is an amazing option. If you have oily or problematic skin, try the lightweight water cream in the aqua blue container. If your skin is more normal to dry, grab the dewy skin cream in the purple container. Tatcha claims that the product uses a generous blend of hyaluronic acid, Okinawa algae, ginseng, and antioxidants that will make your skin look hydrated and dewy. This is especially important since we’re moving towards the colder months.
Need a mask? Try out the Summer Friday masks. Out of the three masks, hands down my favorite is the R+R mask. This 2-in-1 mask gently exfoliates your skin for a brighter finish along with nourishing with natural oils. If you have normal to dry skin, this mask is a DREAM! I’m not a big fan of physical exfoliants, however, this one is not bad at all. What really sold me is how my skin feels after leaving the product on for 15 minutes. I highly recommend this product now that we are well into fall and soon moving into winter.
