2017 New Years Resolutions


It is officially 2017, and you know what that means: new resolutions! I’m not the type of person who believes in the whole “new year, new me” thing, but I 100% believe in setting goals and focusing on accomplishing them. In order for growth writing down your goals is an important step. So here it is, my 2017 new years resolutions!


Health goals: Last year I was able to drop 20 pounds. This year I plan on losing more weight. How? Goal is to make sure to workout at least 3 times a week. Also, I plan on eating more halal. Going to Bangladesh made me realize how fresh the food is there and how processed everything is in America. It’s crazy how you can even taste it in the meat, so I’m sticking to eating only halal meats. It’s all baby steps, so I’m going to start cooking more at home to know exactly what I’m putting into my body.

Another health goal of mine: drink less coffee and have more tea. I cannot believe I’m saying this because all my friends think that I’m a spokesperson for Starbucks coffee, ha. I’ve seen how addicted I’ve become, so I want to make coffee more like a treat for myself vs having it everyday.

Blog/YouTube goals: This is going to be a big year as far as YouTube and Blogging. I’ve recently started to become more consistent in the content I put up on these platforms, and this year I want to keep it up. This means posting 1 video a week as well as 2-3 blog posts. Watching my blog and channel grow has been very rewarding, and I want to keep growing.

Personal goals: I have a several personal goals I want to accomplish. First off, I want to finally move out into my own place. Second, I want to take a dance class. Finally, my third personal goal is to spend more time with people, like family and old friends.
