Plus Size Tips for Spring and Summer

Plus Size Hacks for SPring and Summer

It may be hard to keep cool during hot spring and summer months, but it’s really a challenge for those who are on the plus side. There are only so many layers of clothing you can take off, and some of us end up sweating in places you never thought you’d sweat in. Don’t sweat it, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve that’ll help keep you cool during the heat of the day. I’m giving you guys 7 of my plus size tips for spring and summer.

Tip No. 1: Wear Deodorant EVERYWHERE

I’m not just talking about under the arms. For some of us, we may have a few extra nooks and crannies that need a little bit of it too. Apply deodorant on your armpits, but also under your boobs, and under your fupa (if you have one). If you feel as if you have a few extra places to swipe a little deo in, DO IT. You will feel more comfortable during the day, and this will help with the sweat and odor.

Tip No. 2: Chafing Products

One of the perks of warmer weather is being able to wear dresses and skirts. The downside: chafing. When your thighs start to rub with each other as you walk, it will start to hurt. There are two things you can do. One: wear biker shorts! This will easily help prevent chafing, and no one will suspect you have them on underneath skirts and dresses. Two: If you’re not keen on wearing any sort of extra unnecessary clothing items (and I don’t blame you), apply some sort of chafing relief gel like the one by Monistat or by Gold Bond.

Tip No. 3: Boob Sweat

Boob sweat? no problem! Use a medicated powder like this talc-free extra strength medicated powder by Gold Bond. This will not only help you beat the heat, but also absorb sweat, eliminate odor, and help prevent any uncomfortable skin rashes in that area.

Tip No. 4: Body Wipes

I kid you not, this is a MUST, especially when you’re outside running errands. When you feel like you need to take a bit of a breather, take a body wipe to wipe away the sweat anywhere you need to on your body. This will take care of feeling sticky and gross throughout the day. To take it a bit further, use the body wipe to remove sweat and areas you’ve applied your deodorant. Once clean, reapply deodorant for a fresh feeling.

Tip No. 5: Exfoliate

Exfoliating is very important in removing dead skin and dirt. Which is why it’s even more important to exfoliate in all of those nooks and crannies where dirt and dead skin build up. If you don’t, it will continue to build up, leading to bad odor and feeling uncomfortable. I like to mix honey (it’s antibacterial) and sugar to create a natural scrub and exfoliate those areas when I’m in the shower.

Tip No. 6: Remove Body Hair

Body hair tends to cling onto odor. Meaning if you don’t shave your armpits and other areas if you know what I mean, you’ll notice a strong odor. Be sure to get into the habit of shaving all the unwanted hair in those areas for a smoother, cleaner, and less smelly skin. I highly recommend getting a Brazillian. I made the mistake of waiting until I was 29 to get my first one because I was too ashamed of my weight. Trust me when I say this, it’s all a breeze once you get your first one done, and it’s well worth it.

Pro tip: once it’s all clean down there, use vaginal wipes and panty liners for an extra defense against order and moisture.

I also highly recommend using this electric shaver that you can use when wet or dry. It’s rechargeable, easy to use, and will save you money.

Tip No. 7: Wide-Fit Shoes

Did you know that your feet can sometimes swell up if you’ve been active and have been on your feet during blistering hot days? Try to find something that has a wide-fit. This will give your feet a little extra room and feel comfortable walking around in them.

I hope these Plus Size Tips for Spring and Summer was helpful! Do you have any tips that I’ve missed?
